Last year, John from Frostbite Ice Cream brought fabulous and unique flavors to the conference. As a first time sponsor of Show Me the Blog, we didn’t know what to expect. But Frostbite quickly won over the attendees as they shared their coveted bacon and cinnamon ice cream with the crowd. This year, we are in for another really good treat from Frostbite!
On Social Media Day #1, John will be bringing Naked Chocolate Ice Cream and Whole Bean Coffee Ice Cream. On Blogging Day #2, we will all get to try Frostbite’s Cinnamon Ice Cream and Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream.
The coffee ice cream that Frostbite will be bringing is uses Cafe Peru Chilchos coffee beans from their business partner, Kuva Coffee. This will be only the second time that this ice cream has made a public appearance so, we SMBSTL attendees will get to try it out before others. John really wants to have our feedback!
The pumpkin ice cream Frostbite will have on hand is made with pumpkins from local farmers, Eckert’s. John usually takes a trip there about this time each year for pumpkins when their season begins. Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream is only available in the Fall.
We hope you bring your sweet tooth with you to SMBSTL. With Frostbite on hand, you are going to need it!

From Farm to Table: Blogging to Tell Dairy’s Story
Using blogs, dairy farm women are sharing everything from cheese-laced recipes to personal accounts about life on their farms to promote dairy and bridge the gap between farmers and consumers. Dairy farm moms Janet Bremer and Becky Bode, and Midwest Dairy Council registered dietitian Stephanie Cundith, lead this interactive keynote session as they share their passion to tell dairy’s story through blogging, and in the process, demonstrate a nutritious, easy recipe for your family — Mozzarella Pepper Salsa. Come listen, learn… and taste!
Dairy farm mom Janet Bremer writes about life on a dairy farm in her blog, My Barnyard View. In addition to being the proud wife of a dairy farmer and having raised her two children on a dairy farm, Janet is a Title 1 Instructional Assistant at an elementary school. Dairy and education are at the heart of her writing; she enjoys teaching others about farming and the value of dairy foods.
Becky Bode shares her family’s dairy farm through the blog, Bode Dairy. She is a mother of three, and recently became a grandmother. Becky and her husband farm with a commitment to the environment, not only for their family, but for their neighbors and the community. In addition to farm duties, Becky is a cook at a K-8 school, where she also plans and shops for school meals. She enjoys giving farm tours, both in person and virtually through her blog, to share the importance of her dairy farm family’s way of life.
Stephanie Cundith, Midwest Dairy Council registered dietitian, is a nutrition blogger for Dairy Makes Sense and The Dairy Report. As a working parent, she appreciates the need for healthy, quick and easy nutritious recipes. As a runner, she appreciates the connection between diet and exercise. She writes about the nutritional benefits of dairy foods, and how they play a key role in feeding her family as well as her fitness.

Is one of your goals for the new year to get a new job? Do you want to take your career to the next level?

- Strategically use LinkedIn Groups to network & find out the secrets to group membership
- Optimize your profile so you appear at the top of the search results
- Utilize the job board built into LinkedIn – learn about the different types of jobs posted
- Put your face in front of decision makers every time they login to LinkedIn

Why should you sponsor and support Show Me the Blog?
We are currently in the throes of full-on planning of the 2nd Annual Show Me the Blog Social Media and Blogging Conference. It is amazing to see how we have grown from a small event to a major conference with 200 attendees in less than a year. We are very excited to be having conference at a wonderful downtown location as well as expanding the conference to two days. It is going to be an amazing interactive conference experience this year for everyone involved.
Our goal is to bring a highly visual and technical conference to our attendees. Sponsorships can help us do this. We know that not everyone can travel to large conferences across the country, so we want our attendees to have that same experience in their own backyard without breaking the bank.
With that being said, sponsors can help us really bring an amazing conference experience to Show Me the Blog. Sponsors can also participate in the conference by purchasing a package with an exhibition table that will be available during the full conference for samples, visual examples of their product or service, sales, and more.
Businesses, We Need You!
Who would’ve thought that organizing a conference would be such a daunting task? (insert sarcasm here). In any event, I have signed up to do this, and I am working very hard to make sure that the conference is a success. While the response to Show Me the Blog has been most awesome, we are still looking for more businesses to sponsor the conference in addition to supplying items (promotional items, small gifts) for schwag bags that will be given to attendees, speakers, guests, panelists, etc. These items are important because as a social media conference, our attendees will be live blogging, tweeting, Facebooking the event—a great way to get your company’s image out there!
I am appealing to you to become a sponsor of SMtB. Starting at just $100, it is a wonderful way to show your business cares about the local social media community. AND, in addition, we have speakers and attendees who are from areas of the country such as Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, and Tennessee! Spread your message to many parts of the country!
If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities are want to have your promo items included in our schwag bags, please send an email to info@showmetheblog.com
Conference is in 11 days, but we can still make it happen!
