We announced a few months ago that one of our sponsors, Time to Play, is hosting a Game Night Pre-Conference Reception the night before the conference begins. It’s a great opportunity to get to mix and mingle with other conference attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, volunteers, and other guests before the conference officially kicks off. Time to Play is the authority for toys and games, so it’s only right that we enjoy a night playing and having fun while getting to know one another better.
The Time to Play Game Night Pre-Conference Reception is open to current ticket holders for the conference, only. So if you haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for?
Time to Play will be not only hosting a wonderful game night filled with fun, but giving away swag and prizes too! For more details on the giveaways that will take place during the event, and to register, click HERE. You must RSVP to this event even if you are a ticketholder for the conference so we can gauge the attendance for the event.
We hope to see you there!
Nosh on finger foods (vegans, you will have something to nosh on too!), get your drink on, and mix and mingle with speakers and attendees of the Show Me the Blog Conference. This is a fabulous pre-conference event where you can get some networking in before conference begins.
We will also be giving attendees badges so that is one less thing you have to worry about on conference day!
The Luna Lounge is located at 4561 Gravois in historic Bevo Mill, just 10 minutes away from downtown St. Louis.
There is a 2-drink minimum (domestic beer and soft drinks are available for $5.00 for 2 drinks) You can purchase drink tickets at the door for $5 for two tickets!
Also, since the Cards are in the World Series, The Luna Lounge will be broadcasting the game on the big screen for all attendees.
This event is closed to the public and only open to SMBSTL attendees, staff, speakers, and guests from 6 to 9pm. You can stay afterwards and watch the game when The Luna Lounge opens its doors to the public.
Plus, speaker Kate Canterbury will be giving her presentation on Hyper Local: Why Go Global When You Can Go Local from 8-9 during the premixer.
To RSVP, please send an email to info@showmetheblog with RSVP in the subject line. Please indicate your name and how many people will be attending with you.
If you are a speaker, panelist, moderator, or attendee of Show Me the Blog, you should have received an invite to the Show Me the Blog Pre Conference Mixer taking place tonight from 5:00-7:30pm at St. Louis Coworking in the historic Shell Building.
You must RSVP to attend. There will be beer on hand provided by Schlafly Beer, desserts, soft drinks provided by Vitamin Water, and a wonderful opportunity to network pre-conference. In addition, attendees can receive their conference schwag bags which are filled to the rim with goodies and their badges.
To RSVP, click here. This event is only open to Show Me the Blog attendees.
While the speaker and panelist line up for conference is shaping up to be an informative and well versed line-up, it may be missing a component for the beginning blogger who is looking for information to help them start their blogs. So after careful consideration, we have added a Beginner’s Blogging Workshop during the pre-conference mixer at St. Louis Coworking.
The Beginner’s Blogging Workshop will be hosted by: Lifestyle and mom blogger, The Cubicle Chick, writer and Yelp Community Manager Abby Schwarz, Mom Blogger Robyn’s Online World, and girly tech chick That Tech Chick.
It will cover such topics as:
- Finding your niche
- Expressing your voice
- Blogging platforms
- Design tips
- ..and much, much more!
The Beginner’s Blogging Workshop will take place in the conference room at St. Louis Coworking from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
We would like you to sign up if you are interested in attending this portion of the pre conference mixer. The actual pre conference mixer within itself will end at 7:00pm and will continue while the workshop is commencing.
RSVP for the workshop by leaving a comment below. This workshop is only offered to attendees of Show Me the Blog Social Media and Blogging Conference.
