SMBSTL Blogging Bootcamp: 6/18/11

You asked for it and now we are bringing it to you! We have partnered with XD Web Solutions to offer a comprehensive Blogging Bootcamp for beginner and intermediate users who want to learn about how to use WordPress and create their own blogs and blog content. You will learn about search engine optimization (SEO), blogging tools and plug-ins, how to create content, and much more. This is a hands-on comprehensive workshop that will make it easy for you to get your blog up and running, and make it a snap to get your content out to the masses.

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, June 18th from 9 am to 3pm at Nebula Coworking in South City, St. Louis off of Jefferson Avenue. The workshop is $40.00 and will include the bootcamp, materials and handouts, lunch, unlimited wifi, and a Certificate of Completion.

  Kesha and you need to get in touch with me as I am hoping to revive a better STL are WordPress Meetup. I keep getting questions about having a WordCamp in St. Louis since I have been the go to gal for the STL area on WordPress, but first has to be a real interest with people wanting to meet once a month and learn/ discuss WP. I have a newsletter so far made up, and putting together a website for it as well, which I am hoping as the interest grows, the site will include wordcamp info in it too.

  I’m doing OK WordPress-wise, so won’t be attending Saturday, but I sure am looking forward to future get-togethers!

    Paula, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Keep in mind we will also be going over SEO, and offering other blogging tips and tools if you are interested in becoming a professional blogger. More events are in the works for July and August, and of course, we hope to see you at conference in October
