Annie Haarmann

In 2009, three months into a public relations and marketing job, Annie realized the position was not what she expected. Feeling stifled in her day job, Annie decided to get back to what really made her happy: telling stories.  She began sharing true stories on Annie Was Here. The evening extra-curricular became a way to counterbalance her weekdays.

A few months later, she found a perfect fit as communications specialist/writer/social media maven at Reliv International. She’s the one behind the curtain for Reliv on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and an internal blog. Currently she’s building a nutrition and wellness blog for Reliv to be launched in summer 2011.

Annie uses every bit of her spare time to volunteer on boards of directors for two local nonprofits as well as the International Association of Business Communicators in St. Louis. She also freelances as a communications consultant specializing in writing, design, social media and marketing strategy. She’s an aspiring farmer and enjoys playing basketball in a local league.
